History of United States
The history of the United States is vast and complex. People have been living in America since the Paleo-Indian period, over 12,000 years ago. Over time, many different cultures and civilizations have inhabited the land. The first recorded European contact was with Christopher Columbus in 1492 when he landed in what is now the Bahamas. From then on, numerous European colonies were established along the Eastern coast of the continent. In 1776, thirteen British colonies declared their independence from Britain and formed a union known as the United States of America.

History
El Salvador is a Central American country with a rich history. It was the first Central American country to gain its independence from Spain in 1821, and has since gone through a number of social and political changes. After gaining independence, El Salvador was part of the United Provinces of Central America until 1840, when it became an independent republic. In 1932, the Salvadoran people overthrew their government and elected President Arturo Araujo in what is known as the Revolution of 1932. This ushered in a period of social reform that included agrarian reform and land redistribution. El Salvador also receives remittances from citizens living abroad which help to support its economy.
